Privacy Policy
At Lila’s Friends NFP, we understand that trust is everything—especially when you’re sharing personal information about your family, your child, or your connection to the military. That’s why we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use it, and what your rights are.
When you visit our site or get in touch with us, we may collect a bit of information—like your name, email address, or phone number—especially if you’re filling out a contact form, applying for a service dog, or making a donation. If you’re applying for services, we may also ask for supporting documentation like a state-issued ID, your child’s medical information, or proof of military service, but only what’s necessary and only what you choose to share with us.
We also collect general, non-personal information—things like which pages you visit, how long you stayed, or what device you were using. This helps us understand how people are using our site so we can improve it. That kind of data never includes anything personally identifiable.
Your information is used to do exactly what you expect: process applications, respond to messages, issue donation receipts, and communicate updates. If you sign up for our newsletter or events, we’ll email you occasionally—but you can opt out at any time.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to anyone. Period. We may share information with trusted partners (like donation processors or email services) who help us do our job, but they’re required to keep it secure and confidential. If we’re ever legally required to share information, we’ll follow the law—but nothing more.
All data you share is handled with care. Our site uses encryption and secure tools to help protect your information. Still, no system is perfect, and we can’t guarantee absolute security—but we do everything we can to keep it safe.
We’re especially mindful of children’s privacy. Any information about a child is provided by a parent or legal guardian as part of an application process. We don’t knowingly collect info directly from kids under 13.
You always have a right to ask us what information we have about you, request changes, or ask us to delete it. Just email us at info@lilasfriendsnfp.org, and we’ll take care of it.
From time to time, we may update this policy. If we do, we’ll update the date at the top of this page so you always know what’s new.
If you ever have questions, concerns, or just want to double-check something, don’t hesitate to reach out:
